Terms & Conditions
Booking & Retainer
A booking is not confirmed or secured until a 25% non-refundable retainer has been received.
The retainer is required to reserve your date and secure my services exclusively for your booking.
The 25% retainer is strictly non-refundable as it covers the administrative and behind-the-scenes work involved in your booking, including correspondence, scheduling, timeline planning, preparation, and the reservation of your date.
The retainer also compensates for the loss of opportunity to accept other bookings for the same date.
Dates will remain available to other clients until the retainer payment has been received.
Payment of the retainer confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
Final Payment
The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than one (1) month prior to the booking date.
Failure to make the final payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of the retainer.
Travel Fees
Travel is charged at $2.50 per kilometre, calculated as a round trip from my location to the booking destination and back.
Any additional travel-related expenses, including accommodation, parking, ferry costs, or other associated fees, may be charged where applicable.
Early Morning Start Fees
Early morning start fees apply to bookings requiring a start time before 8:00am.
Any applicable fee will be discussed and included in your quote prior to booking confirmation.
Allergies & Skin Conditions
Clients must disclose any known allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions, medical conditions, or irritations prior to their booking date.
While every effort is made to use professional, high-quality products and maintain strict hygiene standards, Niamh Murphy Hair & Makeup cannot be held responsible for reactions resulting from undisclosed conditions or allergies.
Changes to Bookings
Any changes to services, participant numbers, locations, or timings must be communicated as soon as possible.
Additional charges may apply for changes made after the initial booking has been confirmed.
All changes are subject to availability.
Cancellations
The 25% non-refundable retainer will not be refunded or transferred in the event of cancellation, change of mind, reduction in services, or inability to proceed with the booking.
Cancellations made within 30 days of the booking date may result in the full remaining balance becoming payable.
Any refunds outside of the non-refundable retainer are at the sole discretion of Niamh Murphy Hair & Makeup.
Client Preparation
Clients are expected to have clean, dry hair unless otherwise advised.
Skin should be clean and free from heavy makeup prior to the scheduled service.
Delays caused by a client not being ready at their allocated time may impact the overall schedule and final results.
Photography, Video & Marketing
Photographs and video content of completed hair and makeup services may be captured for portfolio, website, social media, and marketing purposes.
Your privacy and comfort are my priority. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please advise me prior to your booking date or on the day of your appointment.
Any request not to be photographed or filmed will be fully respected, and no images or videos of you will be shared without your consent.
Force Majeure
Niamh Murphy Hair & Makeup shall not be held liable for any delay, cancellation, or inability to perform services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, illness, accidents, government restrictions, or travel disruptions.
In such circumstances, every reasonable effort will be made to reschedule services where possible.
Acceptance of Terms
By paying the booking retainer, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.
